About the Role:

As Electrical Design Engineer, play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our cutting-edge projects. This is a perament, full time position working 40 hours per week, employees are expected to be available to work up to 50 hours per week, however this is not an ongoing expectation or requirement. Salary is dependant on experience betweeen $95,000 and $110,000 NZD. Your responsibilities will include:

• Electrical System Design: Contribute to the design of Materials Handling Systems, MCP, and software sub-contracts, ensuring high-quality electrical design in line with project requirements and industry standards.
• Technical Documentation: Produce comprehensive electrical schematics, field device layouts, motor control panel layouts, single-line diagrams, and other necessary documentation in adherence to contract specifications and relevant standards.
• Collaborative Engineering: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs into broader project frameworks.
• Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Skills & Experience:

To excel in this role, you should bring the following skills, experience, and attributes:

• Electrical Design Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in electrical system design with a focus on baggage and materials handling projects.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering: A degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required. You should have at least 2 years of on the job experience along with this.
• Technical Competence: Possess a strong working knowledge of EPlan or AutoCAD, PLC Programming packages (preferably Rockwell, Omron, and Siemens), and SCADA packages (preferably Iconix or Ifix).
• Project Experience: Demonstrate experience in Electrical and Controls design, preferably within Baggage or Material Handling Systems.
• Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with AS/NZ3000 or equivalent international wiring standards and regulations is essential.
