Engineering Manager

Do you have experience in baggage handling or logistics conveyor systems and would like to take on a challenging and fulfilling role?

Summary of tasks:

• Lead and direct engineering activities to deliver automated baggage handling and intralogistics systems to required performance, safety, and compliance standards.

• Manage, mentor, and develop multi-disciplinary teams, promoting collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

• Oversee project design, testing, and implementation, ensuring quality, efficiency, and risk management across all engineering outputs.

• Control budgets, resources, and schedules, while developing strategies and frameworks that align with business objectives.

• Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, driving innovation and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

This candidate will need to proactively manage purchase orders on site, controlling usage and expenditure, be confident managing claims, resources and understand TRAVEL across the APAC region will be Required several times a year.

Applicant must have one of the following:

Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or higher qualification plus two years post qualification experience; OR,

Five years relevant experience can substitute for formal qualification

Location: Brisbane based, travel required across APAC region

Summary of Tasks

Review and understand the estimate and scope of work

Review and agree budgets with the procurement team on award of project

Ensure accurate and timely financial reports

Proactively manage purchase orders on site, controlling usage and expenditure

Manage claims

Support and mentor team members

Manage resources

Travel will be required

Applicant must have one of the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or higher qualification plus two (2) years post qualification experience; OR,

Five (5) years relevant experience can substitute for formal qualification

Skills, Experience and Requirements

5+ years at Management Level

Proven delivery of project outcomes with contractual documentation

Excellent communicator both oral and written

Strong commercial knowledge with project management experience

Ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Able to easily hit the ground running
