Engineering Manager

We are looking for a skilled Engineering Manager with proven experience in baggage handling or logistics conveyor systems.

Alstef Group designs, integrates and supports automated turnkey solutions for the airport and logistics markets. Across more than 10 countries and with installed systems in five continents, Alstef Group has around 800 employees. We offer airport and logistics customers complete and innovative solutions for the handling of baggage, as well as integrated automated material handing solutions, from automated trucks (AGVs) to fully automated warehouses.

Salary is plus super.

Location: Brisbane

Summary of Tasks

Review and understand the estimate and scope of work

Review and agree budgets with the procurement team on award of project

Ensure accurate and timely financial reports

Proactively manage purchase orders on site, controlling usage and expenditure

Manage claims

Support and mentor team members

Manage resources

Travel will be required

Applicant must have one of the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or higher qualification plus two (2) years post qualification experience; OR,

Five (5) years relevant experience can substitute for formal qualification

Skills, Experience and Requirements

5+ years at Management Level

Proven delivery of project outcomes with contractual documentation

Excellent communicator both oral and written

Strong commercial knowledge with project management experience

Ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Able to easily hit the ground running
