The Industrial Director will lead the industrial strategy for the Asia Pacific Region, and will actively contribute to the overall Alstef Group globally. The role will also form part of the Senior Leadership Team for Alstef APAC, and be responsible for the development of staff, resource planning and regular reporting to stakeholders and global Group leadership. The role is directly responsible for the two main manufacturing facilities in Auckland, New Zealand and Pune, India, with the Auckland and Pune factory managers as direct reports.
Other important aspects of this role will be:
- Ensure consistency in product componentry quality from suppliers and ensuring that they are contracted for source of supply
- Align assembly and packing processes across all facilities of the group
- Standardise manufacturing processes, in line with group standards, with a clearly formulated action plan
- Responsibility for the APAC industrial strategy across airport and parcel product
- Ensure resource planning for both factories is adequate to meet customer programs and demands

Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you will need a process driven approach to work, and be confident with your planning and organisation skills. With a minimum of 15 years in Manufacturing, including 5 years’ experience in a senior management capacity. You will showcase strong communication and skills, thriving in the dynamic global automation landscape.
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience leading international teams.
- Ability to set and achieve high standards for individual and team performance.
- Desire and ability to consistently deliver quality product.
- Stakeholder engagement experience
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of our industry.
