Post description
This junior design role is to assist in the electrical design for Materials Handling Systems. They will also be required to assist with the procurement of all electrical goods on projects, assist with MCP and software sub-contracts and provide technical help to the Project Management team during the installation portion of the projects we are involved in.
The Key Performance Areas for this position are:
Controls Design; as required you would assist and contribute towards:

Electrical Schematics in accordance with Contract specifications and Local standards

Field Device Layouts
-
Motor Control Panel Layout drawings
-
Electrical design calculations
-
Tender Documents (MCP Build and Installation)
-
Test and commissioning documentation
-
Compilation of Operation and Maintenance Manuals
Controls Project; when needed you would contribute towards:
-
The review of Project and Contract documentation and sales pricing; enabling the identification of areas of risk
-
Raising and closing out Requests for Information where specification ambiguities occur/have been identified.

Assisting with the procurement of electrical parts and control stations required on all projects

Motor Control Panel manufacturer tenders and sub-contract builds to ensure quality, budgets and timelines are met.
Electrical Assembly
Liaising with overseas team to:

Provide support to the factory team to ensure electrical wiring and assembly of motor control panels and control stations is in accordance with supplied electrical schematics

Support Factory acceptance test MCP’s
- Maintain up to date time recording in Work Bench
Profile required
· Highly regarded but not mandatory: Membership of IEAust or IPENZ · Ideal and beneficial: Working knowledge of some of the following: - AutoCAD - EPlan - MS Excel - Visual Basic - MS Project - PLC Programming packages (Rockwell, Omron and Siemens preferred) - SCADA packages (Iconix or Ifix preferred) |
