About the role
We’re looking for a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join our Airport Services team at Auckland Airport. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of baggage handling and related systems. You'll work on a rotating shift basis as part of a committed team delivering critical maintenance and operational support.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on airport equipment

  • Ensure timely and high-quality completion of assigned maintenance tasks

  • Proactively identify system faults and report or resolve them efficiently

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records (paper and electronic)

  • Comply with all health, safety, and aviation security regulations

  • Keep work areas clean and tools properly stored

  • Represent Alstef professionally with all stakeholders

Profile required

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Electrician with a current Electrical Trade qualification

  • Experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance (ideally in conveyor systems or similar) in an Industrial environment - essential

  • Familiarity with control systems and troubleshooting processes

  • A team player with strong initiative, time management, and communication skills

  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
