This Senior Infrastructure position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure and systems specifically tailored for Alstef automation solutions. You'll collaborate with automation engineers, network specialists, and operations teams to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of control system IT environments.
Your Responsibilities:

Design Development:
· Installing, configuring, and maintaining control system software applications such as SCADA and PLC programming software.
· Configuring control system networks, including LANs, WANs, industrial protocols, firewalls and VPNs, to ensure secure and reliable communication.
· Maintain Alstef’s quality standards, policies, procedures & methodologies in all areas of design development.

Documentation design:
· Provide design requirements documentation.
· Assist in the development of test procedures.
· Assist in writing end user manuals.

Infrastructure Design
· Designing and architecting IT infrastructure for control systems, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and virtualization platforms.
· Keep up to date with current development technologies and innovations to assess whether they can be leveraged to provide value for Alstef.

Project work:
· Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans effectively.
· Liaise with stakeholders and clients where necessary.
· Collaborate with other departments to address system-related challenges and optimise performance.
· Work within budgets.
· Adhere to the project schedule, which may involve working extended and after-hours shifts to meet deadlines.

Maintenance and End User Support:
· Lead the troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues related to control systems Networking and IT.
· Be able to identify and manage risks to production and operations for system upgrades.

Skills and Experience

Expertise
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking or a related field
Senior Management or People Leadership skills and proven experience
