Your Missions?

We are looking for an International Legal Counsel (VIE) to join our North American operations (Toronto or Montreal) while supporting the entire Americas region.


You will work closely with the Group Legal Department (France) and international teams, contributing directly to the legal management of projects in a common law environment.

 

Although based in Canada, you will operate on a regional scope covering Canada, the USA, and South America, giving you exposure to a wide range of legal systems and contractual environments. In this role, you will:

 

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts
  • Support strategic negotiations across the Americas
  • Advise on contractual risk, claims, and project execution
  • Contribute to dispute avoidance and resolution strategies
  • Work on bank guarantees and financial security mechanisms
  • Promote internal legal standards and best practices
  • Support compliance and governance-related topics

Your Profile ?

You are a Master's graduate in Business or Commercial Law (France), ideally complemented by an LL.M. or another international qualification.

 

You are autonomous, proactive, and enjoy taking initiative to find practical solutions. Curious, rigorous, and business-oriented, you thrive in an international environment and adapt easily to diverse legal and cultural contexts.

 

You also bring:

  • A first experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation (internship, apprenticeship, or first position) – mandatory
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills
  • The ability to identify, assess, and escalate legal and contractual risks
  • Excellent organizational skills and a proactive mindset
  • Fluent English and French
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish (minimum requirement)
