Are you a skilled Mechanical or Electrical professional interested in future opportunities at Brisbane Airport?

Alstef Group is gathering expressions of interest from talented tradespeople who want to be considered for opportunities within our maintenance team. These roles support the smooth operation and maintenance of the Airport’s automated baggage handling system, ensuring efficient, safe and reliable performance across a critical environment.

 

Types of roles include:

  • Electrical Baggage Handling Technicians
  • Mechanical Baggage Handling Technicians
  • Trade Assistants

Pay: Varies depending on experience – as per EBA agreement

About the role:

  • Operate and monitor the baggage system in line with design specifications and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Complete assigned tasks with a strong focus on precision, safety, and quality
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities
  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance to support reliable system performance

Shift work is a requirement in this role, with 4 days on 4 days off pattern, so you must be comfortable and able to work on a shift roster.

Profile required

About you:

You will have clear and confident communication and a high level of motivation to deliver quality work. A proactive attitude, reliability and a willingness to contribute positively to the team environment are key traits that help ensure smooth operations and strong working relationships.

Electrical Background

  • Electrical Trade Qualification or equivalent
  • Current Electrical Registration
  • Experience with control systems
  • Desirable: familiarity with mechanical aspects of conveyor or automated equipment

Mechanical Background

  • Mechanical or Industrial Maintenance Trade Qualification
  • Experience with mechanical systems, conveyors, or similar automated equipment
  • Experience with control systems
  • Physically fit to lift up to 40kg
