About the role
We’re looking for a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join our Airport Services team at Auckland Airport. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of baggage handling and related systems. You'll work on a rotating shift basis as part of a committed team delivering critical maintenance and operational support.
Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on airport equipment

Ensure timely and high-quality completion of assigned maintenance tasks

Proactively identify system faults and report or resolve them efficiently

Maintain accurate maintenance records (paper and electronic)

Comply with all health, safety, and aviation security regulations
-
Keep work areas clean and tools properly stored

Represent Alstef professionally with all stakeholders
Profile required
What We’re Looking For
-
Registered Electrician with a current Electrical Trade qualification
-
Experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance (ideally in conveyor systems or similar) in an Industrial environment - essential

Familiarity with control systems and troubleshooting processes

A team player with strong initiative, time management, and communication skills

Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
-
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
