Alstef Group is seeking a National Business Manager to lead and grow our service operations across Australia’s Airport and Parcel sectors. This is a leadership role with significant scope; combining strategic influence, operational oversight and the chance to make a tangible impact on the growth of Alstef’s service business in Australia.

 

About the Role

Reporting to the Managing Director – Australia, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Overseeing national O&M operations, leading regional teams and ensuring operational excellence across all contracts

  • Managing P&L performance and driving commercial growth

  • Delivering annual strategic and operational plans aligned with national and global objectives

  • Building strong relationships with Airport and Parcel clients, nurturing partnerships while identifying new opportunities for business growth

  • Championing continuous improvement, compliance, and safety

  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams

Profile required

About You

You are a strategic thinker with exceptional emotional intelligence and a proactive mindset, who enjoys the challenges of working in a complex environment. With deep technical acumen and strong commercial insight, you leverage your strategic influence to effectively manage and optimise large-scale, national operations. You will also have:

  • 10+ years’ experience leading large-scale Operations & Maintenance (O&M) or service delivery teams across multiple sites

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Business/Commerce

  • Proven P&L management experience with a record of achieving revenue growth and improving margins

  • Proven leadership and people management skills in large scale operations

  • Experience in airport baggage handling systems (BHS) is essential; experience in automation within parcel or logistics environments also considered

  • A proactive, driven go-getter, comfortable working autonomously

  • Strong commercial and contract management expertise

  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills across internal and external partners

  • Willingness to travel nationally as required
