We’re on the lookout for a Graduate Automation Engineer to join our awesome automation team in Auckland. You’ll get hands-on experience working on cutting-edge automation and baggage handling systems, learning from experienced engineers, and contributing to projects that matter.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Getting stuck into the design, development, and testing of smart automated systems and processes.
- Creating and updating technical documentation, user manuals, and test procedures (don’t worry – we’ll show you how).
- Learning PLC programming using Rockwell, Siemens, and Omron platforms.
- Working with project teams and clients to bring ideas to life.
- Taking part in onsite commissioning activities (yes, this might include a bit of travel – cool, right?).
- Supporting and improving automation systems already in action.
- Contributing to continuous improvement, safety, and quality initiatives.
- End to end quality automation solutions
Specifics About the Role
- Monday to Friday business hours generally, although this role does include a lot of travel globally and domestically so if you want a role where you get to see the world this is for you! Travel is planned and all expenses paid.
- You must be prepared to work some night shifts as we do sometimes have onsite work that requires work at night but this time will be given back in lieu.
- Hybrid and flexible working – after your 6 months settle in period you will be able to work from home 2 days a week, with mandatory office days being Monday and Wednesday
Profile required

- A recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Mechatronics.
- A curious mind with a real interest in automation and control systems.
- A great communicator who enjoys working in a team.
- Someone keen to travel (domestic and international) and ready to jump into new experiences.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn from those around you.
- Someone who can handle confidential info with professionalism and care.
