About the role

As Mergers & Acquisitions Manager for Alstef Group, you will be responsable for overseeing and managing all aspects of the merger or acquisition process, from start to finish.


You will be expected to:

  • Work with the CEO, CFO and other members of senior management to define the profile of acquisition targets and expected outcomes
  • Identify potential acquisition targets, with or without the support of an M&A banker
  • Calibrate whether the targets meet the expected requirements
  • Build the associated business case to demonstrate the potential value creation
  • Lead due diligence efforts by coordinating the work of external advisors and internal experts, and by bringing expertise and a critical eye into the audits.
  • Support the negotiation of acquisition deals.
  • Develop and coordinate the construction then roll-out of an integration plan post acquisition.
  • Support the integration of acquired businesses and the delivery of the expected value creation

Reporting to the Group’s CFO, your role will cover all M&A opportunities across the Group, regardless of their geography (Europe, Americas, Asia-Pacific) and the business line (parcel, intralogistics, airport).

In this newly created role within the Group, you will be the Single Point of Contact for all external advisors, and acquisition targets. You will actively engage with senior management and internal experts as required, to ensure the M&A process is correctly calibrated and fully supported by the organization.

Skills & Experience

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing mergers and acquisitions.
  • Extensive knowledge of the M&A process, including due diligence, valuation, and negotiation.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interact with people at various levels of organizations in various cultures
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Ideally based near Orléans (France), you are available for regular business travel
