About the Role

As Mechanical Design Engineer you will provide mechanical layout design support to the Projects team, while working closely with the other engineering disciplines to ensure multi-disciplinary integrated engineering solutions.

  • Generate detailed product drawings tailored for unique, project-specific requirements, with a focus on optimizing manufacturing processes for efficiency.
  • Provide comprehensive mechanical design support and develop layout drawings in alignment with contractual obligations and project specifications, ensuring continuity from project initiation to completion.
  • Update designs and drawings as part of the As-Built submission, reflecting adjustments and changes made during installation, contributing to the final project documentation.
  • Regularly update document transmittals and maintain organized project folders, both in hard copy and on the network, incorporating all drawing issues, revisions, and communication with clients and project managers.

Skills & Experience:

To excel in this role, you should bring the following skills, experience, and attributes:

  • Project Experience: Demonstrate experience in a project and medium-heavy engineering environment preferably within Baggage or Material Handling Systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering: A degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required.
  • Technical Competence: Possess a strong working knowledge of  AutoCAD
  • Clear Communication: Ability to present complex technical data in an insightful, succinct, and professional manner.
