Alstef is seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to lead our Brisbane Airport based team, in ensuring the efficient operation of Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), Aerobridges and other key airport infrastructure.
In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact between Alstef and key stakeholders, ensuring smooth operations, compliance and excellence in service delivery.
Location; Brisbane airport
Hours; Mon – Fri office hours, no travel required
Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate and support a team of direct reports, including Shift Supervisors, Maintenance Planners, and Systems Engineers

Ensure operational activities remain on schedule and within budget

Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance protocols to enhance efficiency

Oversee recruitment and training of O&M staff

Establish and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule to optimise system performance
-
Work closely with safety and legal teams to ensure full compliance with company and regulatory standards

Act as Alstef’s representative when liaising with the client and stakeholders
-
Prepare reports and performance reviews to assess and enhance operational efficiency

Profile required
About you
-
You have a proven track record or leading, driving successful teams that work as a well oiled machine and have a passion for people and performance
-
8+ years of experience in O&M engineering and management
-
Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or Facilities Management
-
Strong CMMS knowledge and expertise in maintenance planning
-
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
-
Financial management experience, including budgeting and cost control
-
A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
