Main responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities and operations of the systems and projects department;
  • Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the systems & projects department;
  • Meet with clients to discuss and negotiate system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines;
  • Assign, coordinate the technical work of the department or projects teams;
  • May participate directly in the design, development and inspection of technical projects or in the engineering work of the department;
  • Anticipate and plan the necessary workforce in connection with future projects;
  • Recruit and supervise personnel and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence in required areas;
  • Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors;
  • Control the budget and expenditures of the department;
  • Achieve planned profitability objectives by setting corrective actions when necessary;
  • Monitor progress and financial performance of each project and produce monthly reports for General Managing Director;
  • Represent company on matters such as business services and contracts negotiations;
  • Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients;
  • Provide overall management from project start to completion in accordance with the project drawings and specifications;
  • Manage all aspects of the project including, budget, labour, equipment, materials, health & safety, risks and project performance, in collaboration with the project managers under his responsibility;

  • Lead project site meetings and employees’ meeting;
  • Prepare various types of presentations;
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of trade unions, their agreements and stipulations;
  • Conduct regular site reviews;
  • Liaise with clients, project owners, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers;
  • Prepare and submit periodical reports to clients;
  • Resolve issues as they may arise;
  • Ensure quality and that deliverables are provided to clients on time;
  • Make commercially prudent subcontractors or suppliers selections, make sure they will respect our quality and safety requirements and maintain good and effective work relationships with them;
  • Offer sales assistance on new opportunities;
  • Facilitate an environment of trust, openness, integrity and honesty, and prevent conflict or contractual issues arising, or resolve by mediation or negotiation;
  • Carry out any other duties or responsibilities as my be requested by his immediate supervisor.

Wanted profile

  • Language - English;
  • Min.10 years of relevant experience, in a project environment;
  • Min. 5 years supervising personnel / subcontractors;
  • University degree engineering related preferred or high level trade qualifications;
  • Mechanical and/or electrical background;
  • Mobilizing leadership;
  • Communication skills;
  • Strategic problem solving approach;
  • Decisiveness;
  • Emotional intelligence;
  • Good working knowledge of financial management;
  • Proficient skills in project planning;
  • Business acumen;
  • Capable of identifying and mitigating exposure to risks and losses;
  • Advanced skills - MS-Office;
  • Ability to work under time constraints;
  • Must be able to travel frequently;
  • Valid driver’s- license;
  • Valid passport;
  • Must have access to a car;
  • Adequate Covid-19 vaccination.
