We are looking for an experienced industry leader to join our team as a Key Account Manager. You will be passionate about innovation in material handling and parcel logistics sector and have at least 10 years industry knowledge to come in and hit the ground running! This role is pivotal in driving strategic growth across Australia and the APAC region based out of Sydney.
About the Role
As a Key Account Manager / BDM at Alstef, you will be the face of our organisation—identifying opportunities, cultivating relationships, and delivering innovative parcel automation solutions. You’ll lead the sales cycle from prospecting new business through to proposal development, supporting the expansion of our parcel logistics footprint across the region whilst also looking after a set of key accounts.
Hours – Monday to Fri business hours 40 hours a week
Hybrid – Flexibility to work from home and in the office (after initial training period)
Package: Competitive market base + car allowance + commission + benefits
Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage a strong pipeline of prospects using Salesforce CRM

Lead customer engagements, identify needs, and develop high-value solutions

Drive the creation of proposals and quotations in collaboration with internal teams

Represent Alstef at trade shows and industry events

Support marketing initiatives to elevate the Alstef brand across APAC

Ensure compliance with company and legal standards

Participate actively in health, safety, and quality programs
Profile required
-
10+ years’ senior-level sales experience in material handling automation—especially in parcel sorting, AIDC technologies, or print-and-apply systems.

Strong industry connections in sectors such as parcel post, last-mile delivery, e-commerce, 3PL, retail, and food & beverage

A background in operations or project management within the industry is highly valued with Sales and Relationship building skills

A solid network in the industry and a great reputation

Proven ability to exceed customer expectations and close complex deals

Skilled communicator and relationship-builder at all levels
-
Experience working in Australia and the broader APAC region
-
Willingness to travel regionally, with occasional global travel
