We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Coordinator to join our Sydney based team. In this role you will be the local contact for our clients and stakeholders making you an integral part of the team
A Summary of Key Tasks and Responsibilities
This is a busy but varied role where no two days will be the same. You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance but also coordinating and motivating local contractors as and when needed. While this role will require ‘hands-on’ work, there will also be supervisory and administrative tasks as well.
- Establish a preventative maintenance schedule that allows maintenance to be carried out in such a way as to maximize the system’s performance.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures.
- Ensure that all necessary resources including tools and parts are available to enable assigned tasks to be completed in a timely manner.
- Continually look for ideas to improve the operation and provide advice and support to your manager to help implement ideas and suggestions.
- Ensure you are conversant with Company and Client Health and Safety policies and procedures and ensure compliance with such by all Local Contractors
- Make timely decisions to ensure minimum impact on all stakeholders and a quick response to any situation that may arise.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork and/or reports are completed accurately and in the correct format as required.
- Maintain all relevant Inventory records ensuring use of parts is properly recorded and Company procurement procedures are followed.
- Maintain Accident Register/s and Hazard Register
- Ensure all costs incurred for work outside the scope of the Maintenance contract are properly invoiced and in a timely manner.
- Be prepared to work in varied environments including office, mechanical conveyor equipment and warehouses. Surfaces include but are not restricted to concrete, wood, steel, tile, asphalt etc.
Profile required
To be considered for this role you will need to have the full legal right to work in Australia along with the following:
- Current Electrician Supervisor Certificate
- Experience with the electrical and/or mechanical aspects of a conveyor system or other similar equipment
- Experience with control systems
- Financial management skills
- Proven ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated proactive approach and use of initiative.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to work in variable conditions and climates.
