About the Role

As a Planning Assistant, you’ll work closely with our Planning Manager to coordinate and facilitate project planning activities across various projects. You will work closely with project teams to ensure projects are working to schedule, in order to update relevant project schedules, timelines and various documentation. You'll be the linchpin in ensuring that our project schedules, resource forecasts and documentation are accurate, up-to-date and aligned with business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the Project Tracker, ensuring real-time accuracy for internal and client reporting
  • Support resource forecasting and manpower planning using Power BI and Excel
  • Liaise with project managers and engineering teams to validate schedules and progress
  • Participate in tender planning by formalising project schedules and aligning them with delivery capabilities
  • Improve internal processes by actively engaging in engineering meetings and refining communication channels

Profile required

 About you 

This role would suit someone proactive, who prides themselves on delivering a high standard of work. To excel in this role, you will be process-driven with strong planning and organisational skills. As this role is fast-paced, being a self-starter with a proactive approach is crucial to your success in the role. 

 

  • Previous experience in project coordination, reporting and schedule management
  • Background in Engineering or working within technical projects is ideal
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Project, MS Office Suite (Intermediate to Advance Excel) and Power BI
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - confidence and clarity are key
  • Proactive mindset with a high level of initiative
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across diverse teams
