About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for this pivotal role, where you will provide strategic and operational support to the business and serve as a key advisor across the employment lifecycle. This role works closely with both management and employees to enhance workplace practices and contribute to long-term business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with management and key stakeholders to design, implement and maintain HR initiatives tailored to their teams
- Provide practical advice on performance issues, change processes and IR/ER related issues
- Facilitate and manage employee lifecycle activities (performance and salary reviews, talent and succession planning, onboarding/offboarding, reward and recognition)
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on policies, procedures in line with industry best practice
- Review and update HR policies and relevant documents ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Partner with the HR team and wider business to develop and implement HR strategies
Profile required
About You
With strong problem-solving abilities, the successful candidate will be adept at identifying issues early and implementing effective, people-focused solutions. They will bring a strategic mindset and a diplomatic and tactful approach, to align HR practices with evolving business needs. The ability to foster trust and collaboration across all levels of the organisation will see you succeed in this role. You will also have:
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in a senior HR Business Partner role
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related discipline
- Experience in a related industry will be highly regarded
- A strong background in IR/ER would be ideal
- Deep knowledge of Australian industrial standards, Fair Work legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Permanent Work rights in Australia
Note: This supports the team based across Australia, therefore travel is required for this position.
