Post description

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to work in our team at Auckland Airport who will manage the operations and maintenance of the baggage conveyor systems.

 

Your mission: 

 

  • Operating the baggage system as designed and in accordance with the Service Level agreements

  • Completing assigned tasks competently and efficiently

  • Maintaining records fully and accurately

  • Performing maintenance tasks both preventative and reactive.

Profile required

 Skills, Experience and Requirements

 

  • Trade qualification or equivalent

  • You must have a full drivers license in order to be applicable for this role and be able to operate the machinery required

  • Elevated work platform license

  • Experience with maintenance of equipment.

  • Experience with welding

  • Experience with the mechanical aspects of a conveyor system or other similar equipment desired

  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve

  • Demonstrate work ethic and time management skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent team player

  • Shift work is a requirement – 24/7 roster 02:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 02:00
